How do I get more sales with video?
Creating sales with videos is a 3-step process that is deceptively easy. Think, Produce, Distribute – Easy right? Thinking is about your content and what are your prospective customers concerned or excited about?
Thinking is how you want your story to be told. How do you want the world to see and perceive you?
What is the story you want to tell about your business?
Making videos is pretty straightforward and you can literally do it on your phone. However, there are some production elements that make you believable or not. These include lighting, audio, and setting.
Use even natural or constant light, not the overhead fluorescents in your office. Don’t have audio distractions like phones and background noise, and film in a place you are comfortable speaking in.
Youtube, youtube, youtube. Get a channel set up and optimize it to get seen for your business category. If you have the time there are lots of videos on, wait for it, youtube to help you. Get your videos on there weekly talking about the things your customers care about. Then, start promoting your videos on social media and in related groups.
You can even produce short videos that are featured in Facebook ads or on youtube before other videos. They may seem annoying to you, but it has been proven over and over again that they are effective.
If your videos help people, there will be a percentage of people who reach out to you for additional help and potentially sales.
If you are in business to business sales, you can develop what they call a video sales letter.
It provides the same information as a sales letter but allows you to put a face out to a prospect and also can be a great show and tell about technical products. One of my clients is a medical device producer and we showed their competitive advantage in the first 10 seconds of their video and it’s really a great hook, generating them a lot of business.
