My name is Erik Cocks, I’ve been in the marketing and advertising business for over 25 years and have worked for the top ad agencies, fortune 500 companies, and startups as an employee and “change agent”. As I gained marketing experience, I was often hired on to “take us to the next level” or “save us”. I also kept a small group of small companies that I would help with marketing on the side because a “friend of a friend” wanted to grow their business.
After my successes in marketing with a broad range of companies, I realized I really wanted to help smaller companies become bigger companies. You folks (the small businessmen and women) are way more invested in YOUR business, are usually way smarter, know your market well, and are typically better all-around partners. However, in almost all cases you’re hampered by not being able to spend marketing like a huge company and know that trying to do what they are doing but on a smaller scale is disastrous.
I have seen the explosion of the marketing arena from when having a computer and an AOL connection at an ad agency was “cutting edge” to content-specific mobile marketing (Hi, thanks for walking past my store, come in for a brownie!) being something we just yawn about now.
My experience has taught me that a great partner in marketing helps you do more of what you love to do… your business.

I employ lots of people that “do the work” because they are really smart, but I don’t have a sales staff or collection office, maybe similar to your business. We work with a smaller number of clients to give the best service, sometimes for weeks, sometimes for years, depending on what will help the most.
The “We” is the staff I have on tap to help you. We use the top people in the industry and telecommute (all from Florida and the US) daily. My Tampa office is located in the old (renovated) New Port Richey FL post office and is nice, but won’t fit nearly 100 people. Don’t worry, it’s just like a regular agency, we have meetings, we have a central system where we make sure things get done, we argue and laugh (over Skype) daily. Most of all, we are all working for you. You get a scale-able group of folks that get backed up less (so you don’t wait for things), and is always on the cutting edge of their specialty.
